Certification of English language exams and providers
Would you like your language exams to be included in the language test appendix associated with the Code of Conduct for Higher Education? Then you can contact Hobéon for an assessment of both your organization and the relevant language exams.
Code of Conduct Higher Education
Article 5.2 of the Code of Conduct requires international students who wish to enroll in a program taught in English to demonstrate their English abilities with a certified language test. After all, English language skills are an undeniably relevant element of the (assessment of) admissibility of prospective students. The accepted language tests and their minimum scores are included in the language test appendix of the code of conduct.
Language test providers
In order to be included in the language test appendix, test providers can submit a request to the National Commission between October 1 and April 1 every year. This time frame is set so that it is clear by October 1 each year which language tests can be accepted in the admissions process of the following academic year. Recertification occurs every six years.
A quality assessment by a certifying authority is needed for inclusion in the appendix and recertification. Hobéon has years of experience in certifying and assessing education organizations, their processes, and products.
Assessment method
The assessment consists of an organizational audit and a product audit. It is carried out in accordance with the requirements set out in the standard language tests language appendix of the Code of Conduct for Higher Education. This standard has been elaborated on and operationalized in a process description and assessment instruments.
